The library

Public-domain classics your kids can read here (or have Luna read aloud), plus books to get from the public library.

What it is

The library shows books for each kid's age, language and interests. Classics in the public domain, like Peter Rabbit, Winnie-the-Pooh, The Wizard of Oz and Platero y yo, are served right in the app: big words, one page at a time, and Luna can read a page aloud. Newer favorites are listed by title and author only, for you to borrow. A few famous classics are left out on purpose because the original text has slurs or ugly stereotypes. Reading time counts toward school.

Why it helps your kid

Reading every day is the biggest lever there is, and choosing their own book makes kids read more.

Where to find it

Kids: More to explore → Library. You: your kid's page shows the books they've started.

How to do it

  1. Let your kid pick from For you.
  2. Tap Read it to me when a page is hard; Luna reads up to 40 pages a day per kid.
  3. Get the Ask a grown-up books from your public library.

What your kid sees

Keep reading, For you, and Ask a grown-up for these.
