Luna Lab
Luna tests two ways of teaching your kid and keeps whichever they actually remember better a week later.
What it is
One question at a time, such as 'a silly picture or a rhyme for the memory hook?'. Math lessons alternate between the two ways. Five or more days later, the warm-up shows which way's cards your kid really remembered. Luna only calls a winner with at least 12 reviews for each way and a clear gap, checked with a strict statistics test, because she looks again after every review. The winner becomes how she teaches your kid, and the next question starts. If there's no real difference after lots of reviews, she says so and uses both.
Why it helps your kid
Every kid learns differently, and the honest way to find out is to measure memory, not guess.
Where to find it
Your kid's page, under Luna Lab.
How to do it
- Nothing to do: it runs on its own.
- Look at it once a month to see what's been learned about how your kid learns.
What your kid sees
Nothing different: just lessons, some with a picture hook and some with a rhyme.
