Showcase night
Once a month each kid presents what they made. You write what you saw, and it goes in their portfolio.
What it is
Plan a date (next Friday is suggested). Your kids see a reminder on their home screen. On the night, open it: for each kid you see their finished projects with every step and drawing, projects still going, the invention of the month and recent mind maps. Ask the three questions on screen, type what they say they're proud of and what you saw, and save. Those notes go in the portfolio and can't be edited later. The invention of the month is one idea per kid per month from their Invention Journal.
Why it helps your kid
Showing work to people who matter is what makes kids finish things. Specific praise (effort, a fix, a choice) builds more than "great job."
Where to find it
Family → Showcase night. Your kid's page links there too.
How to do it
- Pick a date and put it on the family calendar.
- Let each kid present before anyone comments.
- Praise something specific: what they fixed, what they kept trying.
What your kid sees
A card on their home screen: Showcase night is coming; get your project ready.
