Writing (Luna edits, never writes)
After reading, your kid writes about the story. Luna gives one hint; your kid fixes it.
What it is
One sentence a day for new readers, growing to two and then three as reading grows. Luna points to the single most important fix (a capital letter, an end mark, a missing word) and never writes the sentence for them. The first try and the fixed version are both kept.
Why it helps your kid
Kids learn to write by fixing their own writing, one thing at a time.
Where to find it
The end of the Reading block. Every piece is in the day's record and the weekly report.
How to do it
- Little kids may say their sentence; then the screen asks them to copy it onto paper.
- Ask to see the paper copy at night.
- Don't fix it for them either.
What your kid sees
A box to write in, Luna's one hint, and "Done".
